CHILDRENS' PROGRAMME: LANDLUBBERS!
features two different groups of pirates, who are both on the same remote tropical island. The drama follows the adventures of four pirates who have grown dissatisfied with their life of looting and raiding. They yearn for a more peaceful life, living as honest, law-abiding citizens. But first they must work out how to get off the island!
Meanwhile, the presenters (and the children) are also on the island. But they are searching for treasure, with the aid of a map and some puzzling clues they received from a mysterious castaway. Both groups eventually find what they are looking for, although it doesn't take the form they expect. One group discovers true freedom, while the other finds out about the greatest treasure of all - knowing Christ.
LANDLUBBERS! is for children in KS1 & KS2, and is based on Paul's letter to the Philippians. The programme will help children:
- learn about Jesus, and what it means to become his follower
- learn about the apostle Paul and some of his adventures
- live as followers of Jesus
- explore Philippians for themselves
The LANDLUBBERS! are meeting Monday to Friday, 9.45am to 12.15pm, in the Children's Marquees. (Pre-registered children only)

Angie was born and raised in Plymouth, she studied beauty therapy and was qualified at the age of 17, shortly afterwards she left home and met Pete at a house party, they enjoyed a very valuable and precious friendship which then turned to romance. 4 months into their relationship Angie became a Christian and married Pete one year later at the age of 19. She has worked in various places ranging from factories to the Estée Lauder department in Dingles Store, Plymouth. She became a mother at the age of 22. Angie and Pete felt a clear call from God to become youth leaders in 2004. Angie and Pete's passion is for young Christians to live set apart, holy and Godly lives, also to bring awareness that the world and all it offers is nothing compared to knowing God, who gives life in all its fullness. Angie loves prayer and spending time with God, she enjoys mountain climbing, white water rafting, table tennis, darts, watching movies and eating together with family and friends, but most of all she loves the adventurous life of being in a personal relationship with the living God.
